We are getting into the start of regionals and state tournaments. We have state Girls Golf, Cross Country Regionals, and Volleyball Sub State. As of now that is all to be determined and I am waiting to hear more information.

Picture retake day is on Thursday, Oct 23rd. They will be here first thing in the morning. We have a list of students who need to retake pictures because the photos did not come in clear or they were absent the first time. After that we call out on the intercom for anyone else who would like to retake their pictures.

Also the best and action packed Senior Pep Rally at the ECDC is on Friday, Oct 24nd. Band members, cheerleaders, and all senior fall athletes leave to head to ECDC for the pep rally. I have heard it is a great time and full of energy!

Red Ribbon Week!

Red Ribbon Week

DECA Business Walk

During the DECA Business Walk, a small group of students (about 5) will visit local businesses to introduce themselves, explain what DECA is, and discuss opportunities for collaboration. This event is designed to strengthen relationships between the school’s DECA chapter and the business community, while giving students hands-on experience in professional communication, networking, and business outreach.

Students will share information about DECA’s goals, competitive events, leadership development programs, and community impact. They’ll also invite businesses to get involved through judging practice events, providing real-world feedback, sponsoring student travel or business attire, offering mentorship, or hosting career talks.

Lastly, Spanish test out will be Monday through Wednesday at 1 pm in the counselor's office. If your child knows spanish and has not taken spanish 1 or 2 ask them if they signed up to test out. If they pass they could earn a credit for these classes.

Next Week… Oct 19th - Oct 25th

We have Junior class movie night on Sunday, Oct 26th, HOSA conference in Manhattan, Volleyball and Cross Country State, Football bracket games begin on Halloween!  Also on Halloween and most importantly Senior portrait and baby pictures are due Friday, Oct 31st.

Looking Ahead…

The start of November is upon us! We will have Scholar Bowl Robotics tournaments and do not forget about Election Day!

Quote for the Week!
