This Week…. Nov 16th - Nov 22nd

Winter sports are officially underway, and our students are gearing up for an exciting season filled with competition, growth, and school spirit. Our musical concludes on Sunday, and we could not be more proud of the dedication, creativity, and talent shown by both students and staff, your hard work has truly shined.

All of our clubs are in full swing, offering meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom. Robotics is deep into planning their strategy for success, while Scholars Bowl and Debate are gaining momentum as they prepare for their upcoming events with impressive focus and determination. FFA, DECA, HOSA, NHS, Book Club, Art Club, FCA, SALT, and StuCo continue to provide leadership opportunities, community engagement, and enrichment for our students.

As we enter the final stretch before our much-needed Thanksgiving break, let’s commit to finishing strong together. This week is full of activities and opportunities across Hugoton High, and your teamwork is what keeps everything running smoothly. Please ensure all grades are up to date, lesson plans are finalized, and outstanding tasks are wrapped up before we head into the break. Taking care of these items now allows us all to step away, recharge, and enjoy time with family and loved ones without unfinished business waiting for us.

As we move toward Thanksgiving, let’s continue to support one another, recognize the efforts happening all around us, and stay focused on creating meaningful experiences for every student who walks through our doors. A well-deserved break is on the horizon, let’s make this week count.

Next Week… Nov 23rd - Nov 29th

What, what, what, a full week off for students and teachers! As we head into this much needed time away, I hope each of you enjoys a week filled with rest, laughter, and moments spent with family and friends.

This break is also a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the blessings in our lives and showing gratitude in meaningful ways. Whether it’s volunteering in the community, lending a helping hand to a neighbor, or simply offering a kind word, small acts of service can make a big impact.

We are incredibly fortunate to be part of such a supportive and caring community. Let’s use this time to appreciate it, celebrate it, and give back to it in ways that lift others up.

Wishing you all a relaxing, joyful, and uplifting Thanksgiving Break!

Looking Ahead…

Three weeks until the end of this semester! Our finals are on Wednesday, December 17th for all odd numbered hours/classes and Thursday, December 18th for all even numbered hours/classes. Friday, December 19th is a half day and the schedule and plan will be coming soon!

Quote for the Week!

“Let others feel the appreciation you carry, gratitude shines brightest when shared.”
