We have a full and exciting week ahead! Girls Wrestling Regionals are getting underway, and we’ll also be hosting a home basketball game against Ulysses. Great opportunities to come together, show our school pride, and support our student athletes. In addition, we’re excited to host the senior great reveal, celebrating the post-secondary plans and opportunities awaiting our seniors with the help of VU Scholarships. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic week, thank you for your continued support and energy as we make it a great one!

This Week…. Feb 8th - Feb 14th
We have a busy and exciting week ahead, filled with learning, leadership, and opportunities to celebrate our students both in and out of the classroom.
The week includes important meetings and activities such as a Board of Education Meeting, student leadership opportunities through SALT, DECA, NHS, Art Club, and FFA. We appreciate our staff for all their flexibility and support during all our activities throughout the week.
Our seniors will also have several chances to explore their futures with college recruiters, VU Scholarship Day, and events designed to support post-secondary planning. These experiences are invaluable as students begin to envision what comes next beyond high school.
Athletics and activities are in full swing as well, with basketball, wrestling, robotics, and Scholars Bowl competitions taking place throughout the week. We encourage our community to come out, cheer loudly, and support our student athletes and teams. Special events like Coaches vs. Cancer and Girls Wrestling Regionals highlight the dedication and hard work of our students.
It’s a week full of pride, opportunity, and we are grateful for the continued partnership of our families and community as we make it a great one together.
VU Scholarship
At 2:00 p.m., all seniors will be dismissed to the West Gym for our Senior Great Reveal. Senior family members are invited and encouraged to attend as we celebrate the exciting post-secondary opportunities ahead for our students.
If an underclassman has a sibling who is a senior, they may attend with a parent request.
We are truly excited about the opportunities our seniors will be introduced to and the ways this experience can help broaden their future plans. While we hope to expand this event to include the entire school in future years, this year’s Great Reveal will be focused on our seniors.
Next Week… Feb 15th - Feb 21st
We have an exciting week ahead as boys wrestling regionals kick off and we celebrate Senior Night during our home basketball games against Colby! These events highlight the hard work, dedication, and pride of our student athletes, and there’s no better time to show our school spirit. Let’s pack the stands, cheer loud, and support our seniors as they take the mat and the court.
Looking Ahead…
This week will be fun and exciting as we celebrate National FFA Week, host the DECA Leadership Challenge, recognize students participating in Band and Choir KMEA All-State Honor Band and Choir, and cheer on our athletes at State Wrestling. There’s a lot to be proud of, and we’re looking forward to a great week filled with student achievement and school spirit!
