FCA at 7:30 am in Coach O’s room. Enter through the doors by the JR/SR Parking Lot. All are welcome.
FFA: Milk Quality in Cimarron at 8:00 am. Dismissal before school starts.
Testing Day for the first half of our school day. Those brains will be exhausted.

Mr. Kent’s Updates
Our teachers have done a wonderful job creating welcoming classrooms and helping students learn the routines that support a successful school year. As the year goes on, students sometimes need reminders and a chance to practice those routines again. That is a normal part of learning. By taking time to review and model expectations, teachers help students feel confident, keep classrooms running smoothly, and protect time for learning. We appreciate the patience and care our teachers show each day, and we thank our families and community for reinforcing these positive habits with our students.

Students of the Week!
Brandon Lopez brings kindness to our school every day. He greets classmates with a friendly hello, sincerely looks for ways to help others, and is always willing to lend a hand. He even brings homemade brownies on Fridays to share with his seminar and others! Brandon’s thoughtfulness makes our school a more welcoming place. Just recently he overheard Mrs. Holcomb talking about how her late husband would buy her yellow flowers every year and the next day he purchased yellow flowers for her.
Ailyn Valles has stepped up as senior editor of the yearbook. She is dependable, helps keep the team organized and on track, and is always willing to photograph school events so those special moments are captured. We appreciate the leadership and care she brings to this important work.
Jesus Maldonado goes above and beyond in his commitments. He has been attending Quiz Bowl practice twice a day and has logged the most practice hours of anyone on the team so far this season. His dedication is impressive, and we are excited to recognize his hard work.
Serenity Flores makes a point of including a fellow student in PE each day and walking alongside them. When she noticed that students needed a place to sit at lunch, Serenity welcomed them to the table. Her kindness helps others feel that they belong.
Sierra Anton regularly reaches out to a fellow student at lunch and in the hallways. Her friendly conversations and consistent kindness help make our school a welcoming place.
David Aguilar brings curiosity and determination to class. He asks thoughtful questions and works to understand the details of what he is learning. His drive to learn is wonderful to see.
Toni Moore has already finished reading the book for her report and begun writing, putting her about a month ahead of schedule. Her initiative and planning deserve recognition.
Breckyn Salazar saw trash in the cafeteria and took the initiative to pick it up. That simple act shows pride in our school and care for the people who share it.
Cody Gerrond applies himself to whatever his class is working on and welcomes a challenge. His steady effort and strong work ethic make him a pleasure to have in class.
Raymond Lamatsch spoke up during a presentation by a Kansas Supreme Court justice, thoughtfully defending his ideas about a court case she discussed. The justice even told him he should go to law school! His confidence and engagement stood out.
Allieana Hatch also shared and defended her ideas during the Kansas Supreme Court justice’s presentation. It was especially impressive to see a freshman speak up so confidently in an assembly.
Cameron Rosas comes to class each day with a cheerful attitude and leaves his teacher with a fist bump. His positive energy brightens the classroom.
Lillian Steers surprised her second-hour class with a tray of homemade cookies to share, then delivered cookies to other teachers as well. She made them simply because she wanted to share something sweet with others. What a thoughtful treat!
Levi Foreman is consistently courteous and ready to help. His kindness and willingness to lend a hand are appreciated by those around him.
Students with the Most School Spirit!
Raquel Acuna and Charlotte Ellsaesser brought wonderful energy to the crowd, cheering throughout the football game and joining in with the cheerleaders. Their enthusiasm helped make the occasion even more fun for everyone.
Randall Kiley went the extra mile to support our cross country students. He moved from location to location along the course to cheer them on, making sure they heard encouragement along the way. That is school spirit in action!
Test Day
Students will spend part of the school day completing assessments. Once testing is finished, they will return to their regular classes. Teachers will have quiet activities available for students who finish early, and afternoon lessons will give students a chance to review and continue learning at a comfortable pace.
Families can help students feel ready by encouraging a good night’s sleep, making sure they eat breakfast, and helping them arrive at school on time. A simple reminder to take their time, do their best, and ask for help if they need directions can make a difference. Thank you for supporting our students!
