Lady Eagles Place 2nd at Cimarron Tournament

Yesterday, the Lady Eagles capped off a successful week of golf by placing 2nd place at the Cimarron Invitational. Top three team scores for the tournament were: Colby - 180, Hugoton - 196, and Goodland - 220. Other schools participating included: Lakin, Oakley, Syracuse, Cimarron, Ulysses, and Larned.

The Lady Eagles were led by Junior Danica Amerin who shot a season low 39 in route to winning the individual tournament. Senior Lyla Evans placed 5th individually, shooting a 46. Morgan Anderson, Kaylee Nix, and Ava Skinner rounded out individual scores that counted towards the team total.

The Lady Eagles are off to their best season in recent memory, as they have placed in the top 3 at all three tournaments this year, with 3 varsity golfers having earned medalist honors. Next week, on Tuesday,  both the varsity and junior varsity travel to Ulysses to play Bentwood Golf Course. Tee times start at 10:00 am.
