Skills & Drills Participants

HHS Boy's Basketball Coach Trey O'Neil provided a fun and unique opportunity for Intermediate students.  Every Saturday in January, the Hugoton High School boy's basketball team offered an hour skill session for local 3rd through 6th graders. Coach O'Neil stated, "Our youth did an outstanding job in attending and getting better. Our average attendance hit from the mid to high 20s every session."  If individuals attended three out of the four sessions, they earned the right to be recognized at one of the HHS home basketball games.  Coach O'Neil believes that in order to have success at the high school level, it is crucial to start at an early age and that is why it is so important for the high school program to offer our camps and skill sessions to the youth.   Coach O'Neil would also like to express that he and his team and coaching staff are very thankful for our youth and community that supported this weekly skill camp!

Those attending the HHS basketball game on Friday, February 3rd to be recognized for attending 3 out of 4 sessions include: Elizabeth Jones, Mia Rojas, R'Bree Witt, Harper Riddlesperger, Kaylen Williams, Blake Salmans, Isaai Betance, Kash Kallenbach, Kody Kallenbach, Ethan Acosta, Ike Gaskill, Derek Tinoco, Angel Perez, Kamdyn Howie, Jocelyn Smith, Derek Tinoco, Kathryn Brown, Maddison Williams, Kinley Howie, and Camden Williams.
