POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Nutrition Services is responsible for day to day operations of the school district’s child nutrition program. The Director of Nutrition Services will professionally oversee and administer the food service program in accordance with Opaa! procedures, client policies, and government regulations.
Responsibilities include:
80% Hands-On Operations
1. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with school district administration and staff
2. Supervise the production and service of breakfast and lunch meals and special events
3. Work in any and all areas of the kitchen and cafeteria
4. Train, coach, and develop team members
5. Purchase food and supplies, manage inventory, and maintain a monthly budget
6. Maintain a safe work environment
20% Business Administration
1. Recruit, hire, and retain high functioning kitchen teams with applicant tracking system software
2. Utilize Point of Sale System to keep business records and analyze records to increase participation
3. Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Desired qualifications, skills and experience
Qualified candidates must meet at least one of the following education and experience requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational experience with academic majors in the areas including food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education culinary arts, business or related field;
OR
High school diploma (or GED) and at least 3 years of relevant food service experience

We are pleased to announce that the free meals program for all USD 210 students has been extended through June 30, 2021. You do not have to do anything additional to participate. At a special meeting today, the USD 210 Board of Education voted to move Hugoton Elementary and ECDC to Phase 2.0 beginning on Monday, October 5. Hugoton Middle School will remain in Phase 2.2 and Hugoton High School will remain in Phase 4 Hybrid. On Monday, October 19, Hugoton High School will move back to Phase 2.2.
Friday's Special BOE meeting to discuss continuing in the Hybrid Model at HHS has been scheduled for 12:00 noon. Due to limited seating capacity at Central Office, we will broadcast the meeting on the Youtube Channel: 210 Livestream.

Starting Monday, September 21, Hugoton High School will begin attending school in a Hybrid model. This is for the HIGH SCHOOL ONLY. Your child has been notified of their grouping. Please notify the office if they do not know which days to attend. This will be revisited on Oct. 2.
Hugoton USD 210 se complace en ofrecer desayuno y almuerzo a todos los estudiantes inscritos en nuestra escuela, incluso a los estudiantes remotos. Verá el área donde los camiones de comida entregan a la cocina (paredes de ladrillo a ambos lados con un lado revestido con contenedores de basura). Caminará hasta la puerta plateada, tocará el timbre y alguien estará allí para recibirlo. Si va a recoger las comidas para sus hijos y no están presentes, necesitará que anoten sus nombres en una hoja de papel para entregar al cajero. Ellos verificarán que usted sean los padres / tutores legales y luego le darán sus comidas.
Deberá ordenar las comidas por adelantado una semana a la vez. La fecha límite será el jueves para realizar pedidos para la próxima semana. Hugoton USD 210 is pleased to offer breakfast and lunch to all the students enrolled in our school, even remote learners. For remote learner and students not scheduled to have face to face learning, we will also provide lunch at the same time as breakfast. Pickup meals are only for ENROLLED REMOTE/HYBRID LEARNERS.
Meals will be free to all students through 12/31/2020.
Pickup time for the meals will be 10:30 am to 1:00 pm every day. We will have a central pickup location for the District which will be at the Middle/High School kitchen. You will need to park your vehicle in the parking lot outside the Gymnasium entrance in the front of the building. You will see the area where food trucks deliver to the kitchen (brick walls on both sides with one side lined with trash dumpsters). You will walk up to the silver door, ring the doorbell and someone will be there to greet you. If you are picking up the meals for your children and they are not present you will need their names written down on a piece of paper to hand to the cashier. They will verify you are their parents/legal guardians then you will be given their meals.
You will need to pre order meals a week at a time. The deadline will be end of day on Thursday to order for the next week. We ask that you review your schedule closely before you pre order to ensure you will be able to pick up your meals. You will need to go to the District website and fill out a google form to pre order your meals. Form is located under "In the Nest 2020".
