Due two slick roads and snow, Hugoton Public Schools will have a 2 hour delay today, February 20. There will be no morning preschool.
Parents, the choir buses have made it back to Hugoton. The band bus stayed a little later and is stuck in Colby. We have put them up in a motel for the night, and will bring them back tomorrow when the roads are safe for travel.
Mrs. Hayes 7th grade math class applied their knowledge when using percentages to create a taco truck and menu. They had to calculate sales, costs, discounts, markups, tax, etc. Overall, they did very well! A great example of real world application!

Mrs. Burrows 7th grade Social Studies classes have been learning about Native Americans, European settlers, along with the trails they used to reach the western frontier. Today the classes had to put that knowledge to use and work together to solve problems in an Escape Room.
Ms. Hayes UnPlugged students worked on building team -work skills today. They made a classroom obstacle course, listened to their partner and block out the other distractions in order to get through the course.
