Mr. Terrill's 7th grade art students are shown getting ready for the Scholastic Art Competition. They are sculpting, "Found Object Hand Sculptures" that will be painted when complete.




Mr. Terrill's 7th grade art students are shown glazing ceramics. Some of these will be entered in the scholastic art competition. They will be fired over the weekend and registered next week.





8th grade art students presented to the BOE "Digital Scratchboard Portraits." This is a design lesson using ipads, digital photo technology, and scratchboard. Students create a digital portrait from their own photographs. A big shoutout to Mr. Terrill for helping present.

Mr. Terrill's Unplugged students each had hold of a string tied to a cup, and the objective of the game was to stack the cups before the other team stacked their cups. No hands were allowed to touch the cups. This type of activity promotes communication and teamwork.




Mr. Warner & Mrs. Witt were invited to be guest judges at the monthly 4H Wrangler Club meeting. They were asked to judge gingerbread houses. The team that built gingerbread home #3, won top honors. The winning team is shown with their house.





HMS 7th grade art students are creating “Lifecast Hand “ sculptures that will be assembled in their found object sculptures. Students “unveil” their hands by cutting away the rubber alginate mold. Students will cast a second hand today and use them to create the sculpture.





Students got a chance to "just have fun" during Unplugged today. Mr. Warner led the student body in several games of Super-Charged Simon Says.

The HMS staff held a chili cook-off on 11/22. 3 crockpots of chili competed for the traveling sombrero award. Mrs. Gold won best chili, and will keep the traveling sombrero award until our next staff food day. Other staff brought all the fixins! All of the food was amazing.





HMS/HHS Concert Practice - The holiday concert will be held on Monday, November 25th at 7:00pm. Please arrive early as the doors will temporary close for a special tribute at 7:00 promptly, and reopen after the first song to attendees who are not seated by 7:00.

Mr. Terrill's first hour art students are working on ceramics. USD 210 is fortunate to have one of the top art instructors in the state teaching our students to appreciate and embrace fine arts.





19 Hugoton Middle School band students were selected to the "5 States" Honor Band.


HMS Girl's Basketball played Liberal, Apache on Monday, Nov. 18th. All 4 teams won their respective games.
