Ms. Hayes 7th grade math class worked on recognizing proportional relationships and writing their equations for proportional and non-proportional using Kahoot!

Hugoton Middle School girl's basketball team played Dodge City on Monday, Nov. 4th at HMS.

Mrs. Burrows 7th grade Social Study class had a visitor from Macedonia, Marina Hiohi. Marina is a foreign exchange student living with Don, Renee, Sydney and Faith Beesley for 1 year. Marina shared her experiences of living in the United States from a different perspective.




Due to so many absences from sickness, we are postponing the 2nd Grade Music Program until Thursday, November 21, at 2:45 P.M. Hopefully by then we will have all students healthy!

Central Office is ready for Thanksgiving now that the LEAP students have decorated our tree. The LEAP students grew the pumpkins under the tree in the their garden. Thanks for making our office look fabulous!!




HMS September Students of the Month were Tobias Grubbs & Kendra Hermreck, 7th grade, and Jasmin Alfaro & John Shelton, 8th grade. Thank you to Farm Bureau Association for sponsoring our Students of the Month and providing t-shirts for our Student of the Month program.

HMS helped HHS celebrate in sending off Rafael Guereque to State Cross Country. Thank you Mrs. Witt and Mr. Korf for including HMS in this Eagle celebration. HMS students & staff love supporting our high school students. #WeR210

Students in HHS Spanish classes are learning about Dia de los Muertos (the day of the dead) this week. Thank you to Mrs. Hernandez for making these amazing cookies to share with the students!

Mrs. Nordyke's students were working on making reviews for their vocabulary tests that they will take this week. Students get to choose how they will make their study item. Some chose to make foldables, flip cards, use index cards, and even make notes on their iPads.

Mr. Terrill's 8th grade art students using digital pens. They are working on a Scratchboard portrait art lesson.





During Unplugged today, students played the game, "Ships & Sailors". Staff did a great job of being the "sharks".




The HHS football team and Coach O'Loughlin helped HMS students & staff celebrate Fight Song Friday. Coach O'Loughlin & seniors spoke about their season and the game tonight against Holcomb. With the help of several HMS students, the student body ended with the fight song.
